Zanzibar is an island off the coast of Africa that has a long and interesting history as a colony and trading port, so there’s more to do there than just relax on the sand.

After summiting Kilimanjaro, I made my way to Zanzibar. We wanted nothing more than to relax on a beach or beside a pool after our long hike. But after resting for a day, we set out to explore the island and see the sights that bring visitors to Zanzibar.
